Description
The Director of Catering & Convention Services will be responsible for maximizing catering revenue through strategic forecasting, planning, team leadership, and client engagement. You will develop and execute sales goals, oversee departmental budgeting, monitor competitor activity, and lead a dynamic catering sales team to success.

    Responsibilities:
    • Client Relations & Revenue Growth
      • Maintain and grow key accounts through proactive outreach and high-touch service.
      • Follow up on all leads and manage all tentative business to convert to definite bookings.
      • Track and analyze lost business to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Strategic Planning & Budgeting
      • Develop the annual catering sales budget and forecasting plans in collaboration with Sales and F&B.
      • Assist in setting revenue goals by market segment and average check.
    • Team Leadership & Training
      • Lead, train, and motivate the Catering Sales team; set team and individual performance goals.
      • Ensure compliance with Concord's Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.
    • Marketing & Competitive Analysis
      • Analyze competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
      • Provide input on advertising, promotions, and internal marketing initiatives in coordination with corporate.
    • Reporting & Administration
      • Prepare and analyze regular reports including revenue tracking, turndown/cancellation trends, and performance forecasts.
      • Maintain accurate records, including a competition analysis binder and up-to-date catering diary.
      • Participate in hotel leadership meetings, MOD rotations, and sales strategy sessions.
    • Guest Engagement
      • Conduct site tours and walk-throughs with prospective clients.
      • Serve as a point of contact for high-profile or large-scale catered events.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in catering sales or event management, with a strong track record of revenue generation.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and manage a successful team.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software.
    • Knowledge of hospitality market trends and competitive positioning.
