Looking to further your career in ABA? Join our team of highly-trained clinicians as a Managing Technician (MT)!

Who We're Looking For

WEAP is hiring Managing Technician (MT) to join them in helping children with autism find success in school and life through contemporary ABA therapy. MTs have demonstrated expertise in behavior treatment, and they provide day-to-day clinical direction to clients under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst. They deliver protocol modification using best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. MTs also support the professional development of other technicians by providing clinical and professional feedback.

For over 30 years, the Wisconsin Early Autism Project (WEAP) has provided evidence-based, contemporary ABA therapy to help children with autism find success. Our goal is to empower our clients to build the skills needed to live a happy and fulfilling life.

As a Managing Technician (MT) at WEAP, you'll not only work and lead alongside a local team of highly-trained clinicians, but you'll also be part of LEARN Behavioral-a collective group of ABA providers delivering collaborative care to communities from coast-to-coast. LEARN employs over 500 BCBAs and offers services in 17 states, and our average clinical leader has been with the organization for 10 years.

What You Have
  • Bachelor's degree and 2,000 ABA hours, or a master's degree and 400 ABA hours (required)
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in the field of ABA
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of various information/data pertaining to assigned cases, other cases, and clinical and employment information (required)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with target child, family members, and team members, both verbally and in writing (required)
  • Experience in staff leadership or supervision and training (desired)

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide clinical direction to technicians for assigned clients
  • Assist Behavior Analysts in protocol modification, assessments and team meetings
  • Provide behavior treatment by protocol to clients as needed
  • Ensure data is collected and recorded with fidelity and reliability
  • Complete mandatory trainings and attend required meetings
  • Document services delivered accurately and timely according to company policies
  • Report clinical and scheduling concerns promptly
  • Adhere to all company compliance policies, written or unwritten
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Reasonable direct hours target of 25 hours per week. A 'direct hour' includes protocol modification, treatment by protocol and team meetings.

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements vary based on specific client assignments. You are expected to be able to complete all physical requirements of the position either with or without a reasonable accommodation. This role may require you to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds and move quickly in response to client needs. This role requires the ability to frequently change physical positions throughout the day, including walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and occasionally running. This role requires you to maintain continuous visual supervision and auditory awareness of clients to support a safe environment.
