Job description

Security Operations Manager

This job reports to the Branch Manager.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $57,000. Based on Experience.

Relocation is not provided and local travel is required. This is a Full-Time position.

Job Skills/Requirements

The Security Operations Manager manages overall field services, operations, and functions in assigned areas, including post reviews, inspections, emergency response, client liaison, post order compliance reviews, and performance of duties in accordance with client procedures and state and federal regulations.

1. Ensures the delivery of high quality customer service through regular contact with clients

2. Manages and coordinates all security operations and programs

3. Partners with client location to ensure proper utilization and execution of security programs

4. Recruits, selects, orients, trains, and develops staff in collaboration with Corporate Human Resources

5. Plans, assigns and directs work, coaching employees to enhance skills and carries out disciplinary action as necessary

6. Builds relationships with staff, maintains a positive, professional work environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and ensures employees understand and comply

7. Ensures compliance with general and specific post orders, including necessary segment training

8. Responds in a timely manner to events, issues, staffing deficiencies, and client requests

9. Ensures scheduling is handled effectively to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs

10. Maintains up-to-date and accurate timekeeping systems and records

11. Ensures employees are provided with the necessary equipment and uniforms and control of inventory

12. Performs additional functions, duties, and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives.

Security Operations Manager Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Work experience in the security industry
  • Knowledge of security operations
  • Knowledge of business operations management and human resources administration
  • Use of personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service and service delivery orientation
  • The physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions, with our without a reasonable accommodation
  • Maintain composure under conditions of stress, urgency, and in pressure situations
  • Hearing ability and visual acuity to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
  • Active listening to give full attention to what others are saying, understand the points made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times.
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and choose the correct approach
  • Reading comprehension to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Regular use of vehicle required in the performance of duties
  • Occasional walking, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in the performance of site surveys
