The Position
The Client Operations Associate located in Boston will support and work closely with senior members of the Client Operations Team in coordinating the portfolio operations for a range of clients. Primary responsibilities will center on the implementation of client investment strategies (execution), assisting with portfolio reporting/invoicing, and providing exception support to the Investment Team. This is a meaningful entry point into the firm with strong performers have a clear path to grow into more senior operations or client-facing roles over time.
The candidate will be an integral member of the global Operations team and will report directly to a manager on the Client Operations Team. The role has a wide-ranging responsibility and involves working with the Operations and Investment teams across all offices.
The candidate should be hardworking and must be able to interact with colleagues and third parties, prioritizing and completing multiple tasks and meeting key investment and reporting deadlines. Additionally, over time this role may develop into a client facing position and thus a strong candidate will be comfortable interacting with clients.
The company has a 'small business' atmosphere and attitude. The successful applicant should be ready for wide-ranging responsibilities in multiple areas and will be expected to be flexible and willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to the firm's continued success.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the Client Operations Managers and Investment Teams responsible for managing client relationships
  • Provide support for senior members of the Client Service Team that engage directly with clients
  • Draft client correspondence for review and send out (e.g. client requests, capital calls, statements)
  • Monitor client cash and securities accounts by closely managing relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. custodians, trustees, other third-parties)
  • Ensure client reconciliations are performed on a timely basis and escalate any issues to Client Manager
  • Ensure client actions, transactions and requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Review client performance reporting and ensure all data is accurate
  • Maintain the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system and update documentation records, specifically around AML/KYC
  • Ensure complete and accurate records on all client activity and client data in our internal CRM
  • Prioritize and complete assigned tasks accurately and within deadlines

Key responsibilities will be regularly assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications / Attributes
  • Undergraduate degree, finance or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated strong Excel skills
  • Understanding of investment performance concepts and reporting
  • Familiarity with Addepar a plus
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support operational processes
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Familiarity with DealCloud a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who is willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to the success of the business

Massachusetts requires Partners Capital to include a reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role. This base salary range is specific to individuals applying to work in our Massachusetts office and takes into account a number of factors. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $65,000 - $80,000. The base salary offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
The base salary is one element of our competitive compensation package. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
