The Senior Associate, Client Onboarding will work closely with our prospects and existing clients to assist with the fund closing process. This person will also work with many cross functional teams such as investor relations, investment staff, legal, compliance, tax, treasury, accounting, custom solutions, and third party administrators/vendors to bring all parties together to build an optimal and efficient process and overall client experience.

The ideal candidate is someone who has:

  • Previously worked in a client service role and is able to proactively identify servicing needs
  • Consistent track record to prioritize multiple and often challenging priorities, strive to decisions, and deliver results consistently
  • Solid work ethic; genuine passion for excellence, intellectually curious and constant improvement to deliver exceptional client experience
  • A good understanding of the client onboarding process and requirements based on client-type i.e. Institutional, Private Wealth.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to partner with multiple teams to obtain the desired result in addition to being able to work independently to delivery key results
What you will do:
  • Review subscription documents and corresponding Know Your Customer documents and communicate with the client to ensure all documentation is in good order while providing a positive client experience.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities associated with closing clients into HarbourVest's various Evergreen and commingled fund strategies, working closely with investments, sales, marketing, compliance, legal / regulatory, tax, accounting, and custom solutions
  • Work closely with the Client Onboarding team members to complete the processes according to planned timelines and handle priorities across different stakeholders
  • Develop working relationships with internal and external partners to keep informed about all upcoming activity by clarifying current statuses, expectations, monitoring risks, and ensuring engagement as schedules change
  • Provides strong oversight of Fund Administrators and ensures effective collaboration throughout all client onboarding processes
  • Identify areas of opportunity to enhance the client experience and drive increased efficiencies and ensure consistency in procedures, and exception handling across clients
What you bring:
  • Demonstrates a strong clientfocused mindset in everything you do with a commitment to continuously enhance the overall client experience
  • Possesses a background in asset management or financial services, specifically servicing private wealth clients and intermediary distributors, with handson responsibility for client operations and service functions
  • Proficient communication (written and verbal) and engagement with individuals across all levels
  • The ability to multi-task multiple priorities while being very organized
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft suite and workflow/project management tools
  • Experience with closed-ended vehicles as well as 34 and 40 Acts funds
Education Preferred
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (BS/BA) or equivalent experience
Experience
  • 7+ years' experience in financial services preferably in private equity and in the wealth segment

Base Salary

$100,000.00 - $115,000.00

This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
