What You'll Be Doing

As a member of the Commercial Real Estate team, you'll work with our clients to finance their growth, business objectives, and mitigate risk. As a Client Manager you will grow and manage a portfolio of clients by proactively developing new business opportunities in the NonBank Lender community and ensuring clients banking needs are being met at the highest level. As a strategic partner to our NonBank Lender clients, you'll be delivering solutions, loan products and cross-sell products to help clients realize their goals.

How you'll succeed

  • Relationship Building: The Client Management role will require a highly motivated and relationship driven individual to originate, develop, and deepen relationships with commercial real estate NonBank Lenders (credit funds, REITs). This role is responsible for business development activities that include leveraging referral sources, networking and strategic account planning. Commit to building a profile in the NonBank Lender community in order to leverage that profile into effective working relationships with new and existing clients as well as with internal partners. Actively monitor and manage these relationships by fully understanding our clients' goals and purpose.

  • Teamwork: Work with internal partners to connect clients with cross-sell opportunities such as capital market derivatives and private wealth introductions. And partner with our credit team and asset managers to ensure all credit and monitoring of the loan portfolio meet CIBC standards.

  • Client Experience: Maintaining consistent communication with your clients to assess their needs, proactively addressing any issues, and propose solutions as needed. You'll utilize your industry, company knowledge, analytical skills and negotiating skills to provide proposals for new business as well as existing business.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $165,000 - $180,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
