We're looking for intellectually curious, motivated early-career talent who are completing or have recently completed a bachelor's degree and want to grow, learn, and make a difference. In the US, this opportunity is designed primarily for recent undergraduate talent, though candidates with relevant master's or doctoral degrees may also be considered. If you have no more than three years of professional experience and fit this description, please apply for our rotational Swiss Re Graduate Programme, which starts Fall 2027.
You'll gain hands-on experience in the complex, multifaceted, and fast-paced world of reinsurance and commercial insurance, rotate into different local teams, and receive tailored training to build your expertise. This is your opportunity to shape your career, help protect societies from the world's most threatening hazards, and contribute to making the world more resilient.
About the Client Management Analyst Role:
As a Client Management Analyst within Swiss Re's Life & Health Reinsurance business, you will develop a broad understanding of client relationship management, reinsurance solutions, business development, and commercial strategy while contributing to the growth and success of Swiss Re's U.S. Life & Health portfolio.
Working alongside experienced client managers and business leaders, you will gain exposure to client strategy, transaction development, pricing, underwriting, financial performance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will help strengthen client relationships, identify opportunities to create value, and contribute to initiatives that support sustainable and profitable growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Support the development and execution of client strategies, action plans, and engagement activities across key client relationships
  • Analyze client needs, market developments, and business opportunities to help identify solutions that create value for clients and Swiss Re
  • Contribute to client planning, business development, and relationship management initiatives that support growth and long-term partnerships
  • Prepare presentations, reports, meeting materials, and briefings for client discussions and senior stakeholder engagement
  • Partner with pricing, underwriting, claims, transactions, finance, legal, governance, operations, and risk teams to understand the end-to-end reinsurance value chain
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen client relationships, enhance commercial effectiveness, and support disciplined growth across the U.S. Market Unit
  • Research industry trends, market developments, and emerging client needs to support strategic decision-making and business priorities
  • Apply data, analytical tools, and emerging technologies to improve insights, support decision-making, and enhance client outcomes
  • Support transaction development and execution by coordinating analyses, materials, and stakeholder inputs
  • Present analyses, recommendations, and business insights to stakeholders across the organization
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that improve processes, strengthen collaboration, and enhance business performance
  • Support a strong performance and risk culture by adhering to Swiss Re guidelines, governance standards, and best practices
You'll follow a development plan tailored to your strengths, with structured feedback, mentorship, exposure to senior leaders, and opportunities to build commercial, analytical, and relationship-management capabilities.
About the Team:
The U.S. Life & Health Client Management team is responsible for building and strengthening strategic client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and connecting client needs with Swiss Re's risk expertise, solutions, and capital strength.
As part of the team, you will work closely with client managers, underwriters, pricing professionals, transaction specialists, and business leaders to support client engagement, commercial decision-making, and business development activities across the U.S. market.
You will join a collaborative and high-performing team that values curiosity, accountability, continuous learning, and strong execution. Working across functions and disciplines, you will gain exposure to client strategy, transaction development, financial performance, and reinsurance solutions while developing a broad understanding of the Life & Health reinsurance business.
About You:
We are looking for people who:
  • Have completed, or are about to complete, a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related discipline; relevant master's or doctoral degrees may also be considered
  • Have demonstrated academic rigor through course selection and performance; a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected
  • Have no more than three years of professional experience
  • Are intellectually curious about reinsurance, risk, client strategy, financial performance, and the evolving insurance landscape, with the drive to learn quickly and apply new concepts to real business challenges
  • Think analytically, solve complex problems, and enjoy working with data
  • Are self-reflective, seek feedback, and apply it to keep growing
  • Build strong relationships and adapt their style to collaborate effectively across teams, functions, and stakeholders
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences and can translate complex topics into clear, actionable messages
  • Take ownership and demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Use Excel and other analytical tools to generate insights from data
  • Have familiarity with financial analysis, reporting, data visualization, or business intelligence tools
  • Are curious about AI and emerging technologies and how they can enhance analysis, strengthen decision-making, and improve business outcomes
  • Experience with analytical, reporting, visualization, or CRM tools
  • Exposure to client relationship management, sales strategy, financial analysis, transaction support, or market-facing activities
