We are seeking a highly skilled Client Implementation Specialist to provide technical and client-facing expertise for onboarding, implementation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) of enterprise systems, processes, and products. This role is responsible for leading testing efforts across APIs, web applications, IBM MQ messaging, and managed file-transfer platforms, including Connect:Direct and FTP/SFTP. The Client Implementation Specialist will translate business and technical requirements into certification plans, validate integrated workflows, troubleshoot complex issues, and support a seamless client experience throughout the implementation lifecycle. Additionally, this position will identify repetitive manual testing and operational activities and develop controlled automation solutions using open-source frameworks and scripting tools.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of client onboarding, implementation, or systems integration experience.
  • 3+ years of UAT, system integration, quality assurance, or enterprise application testing experience.
  • Hands-on experience testing REST and/or SOAP APIs, including JSON/XML payloads, HTTP methods and status codes, headers, authentication, business rules, and error handling.
  • Experience with Postman, SoapUI, Swagger/OpenAPI tools, REST Assured, or comparable API testing platforms.
  • Experience developing automated tests using open-source frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Robot Framework, Pytest, or similar technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, IBM MQ, Connect:Direct, and FTP/SFTP technologies.
  • Programming or scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, Java, PowerShell, or similar languages.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), quality assurance methodologies, defect management, and version control processes.
  • Proven ability to analyze logs, payloads, queue activity, file-transfer records, and technical failures.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities:

Client Onboarding & Implementation

  • Lead client onboarding and implementation activities, ensuring timely and successful adoption of systems and products.
  • Serve as a primary client contact throughout the implementation process.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to support project execution and client success.
  • Develop onboarding and implementation project plans, certification criteria, and testing strategies.
  • Support status reporting, training materials, user guides, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Testing & Validation

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute user acceptance testing (UAT), system integration testing, regression testing, positive and negative testing, and end-to-end testing activities.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into certification plans, test cases, test data, acceptance criteria, and traceability documentation.
  • Validate integrated workflows across multiple applications and environments.
  • Maintain comprehensive test results, defect logs, implementation records, automation assets, and testing metrics.
  • Test REST and SOAP APIs, validating JSON/XML payloads, HTTP methods and status codes, headers, authentication mechanisms, business processing rules, and error responses.
  • Validate web application workflows, navigation, field-level rules, access controls, permissions, and supported browser behavior.
  • Utilize tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger/OpenAPI, REST Assured, and comparable API testing solutions.
  • Validate IBM MQ messaging and Connect:Direct or FTP/SFTP transfers, including receipt confirmation, acknowledgments, naming conventions, permissions, and failure conditions.
  • Analyze logs, queues, payloads, transfer records, and environment details to identify and isolate application, data, configuration, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.  
  • Document and track defects, including reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, supporting evidence, and business impact.
  • Coordinate defect resolution, retesting, and validation activities.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and technical troubleshooting across applications, data, infrastructure, and connectivity layers.
  • Analyze queue activity, file-transfer records, payloads, and technical failures to resolve client and system issues.

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable automated tests, scripts, and utilities using approved open-source frameworks and tools.
  • Evaluate repetitive or error-prone manual activities and implement controlled automation solutions with logging, exception handling, traceability, and appropriate human oversight.
  • Support automation framework design, scripting, test data preparation, evidence collection, and reporting activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $97570.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
