Overview
Gessner Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead design efforts, manage client relationships, and lead and develop a talented team of engineers on a wide range of civil projects—including residential, commercial, higher education, and public infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project design, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers (EITs and PEs) to deliver high-quality, timely results. This includes the technical and professional development of team members.
  • Coordinate internally and externally with clients, consultants, and review agencies.
  • Oversee preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
  • Conduct site visits and manage construction administration activities (forensics, as-built data, submittals, RFIs).
  • Perform QA/QC reviews and seal designs consistent with experience.
  • Develop proposals, manage invoicing, and contribute to business development efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas required.
  • 5–10 years of civil engineering experience, including project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software (PondPack, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Autodesk SSA, Flowmaster, EPANET, WaterCAD).
  • Strong technical background in site and land development, municipal infrastructure, drainage, grading, and utility design.
