Senior Client Manager, Middle Market – Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for managing an assigned book of Property & Casualty business by serving as the primary client contact, delivering tailored risk management and insurance solutions, and providing direction to internal support teams. This role is accountable for client retention, satisfaction, and growth by aligning coverage strategies with client needs and organizational goals, while balancing hands-on service delivery with strategic client advisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Leadership & Ownership

·       Serves as the primary service contact for clients, owning relationships and ensuring all service needs are met.

·       Provides direction to client service teams and aligns internal resources to meet client objectives.

·       Acts as subject matter expert in Property & Casualty coverage and risk solutions.

·       Collaborates with Sales and Client Executives to support retention and growth strategies.

Hands-On Execution & Delivery

·       Identifies, designs, and implements cost-effective insurance solutions for clients.

·       Oversees marketing efforts including underwriting data gathering and carrier engagement.

·       Performs contract reviews, exposure analysis, and coverage placement.

·       Participates in client meetings and presents coverage recommendations.

Reporting, Quality & Operational Support

·       Ensures timely and accurate handling of service needs including certificates, endorsements, and billing coordination.

·       Maintains quality and accuracy of client deliverables and documentation.

·       Monitors service timelines and resolves issues proactively.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Integration

·       Partners with Sales, Client Executives, and internal teams to support onboarding and ongoing service delivery.

·       Coordinates with carrier partners to secure optimal coverage and pricing.

·       Supports agency relationships and client interactions at all organizational levels.

Growth, Change & Special Initiatives

·       Supports new business, retention, and growth initiatives.

·       Assists with special projects and practice-level initiatives.

Process Improvement & Best Practices

·       Identifies opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

·       Property & Casualty License required.

·       5–10 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.

·       Prior Property & Casualty client management experience.

·       Strong communication and relationship management skills.

Preferred

·       College degree preferred but not required.

·       Advanced certifications or professional designations.
