Land Development Engineering & Client Growth Director Company: HireNow Staffing (Direct Placement Partner) HireNow Snapshot HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a Land Development Engineering & Client Growth Director for one of our valued client partners in Tampa, Florida. This is a senior-level opportunity for a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who combines strong land development engineering expertise with an established book of business and the ability to bring client relationships to the firm. The client is specifically interested in professionals who already possess established commercial and/or residential development relationships. This opportunity may be especially attractive to a Civil Engineer currently operating an independent engineering practice who wants to retain the value of their client network while gaining the resources, multidisciplinary capabilities, infrastructure, and growth potential of an established organization. The selected engineer will provide technical and project leadership while helping expand the firm's presence throughout the Tampa Bay market. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead civil engineering and land development projects throughout the Tampa Bay region.
  • Leverage an established professional network and bring existing or transferable client relationships and business opportunities to the firm.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial and residential developers, property owners, municipalities, consultants, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Provide professional and technical engineering leadership across land development projects.
  • Manage commercial and residential development projects from planning and design through governmental review and implementation.
  • Perform and oversee engineering design, technical review, and plan production.
  • Review engineering plans and documents for technical accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Provide value-oriented engineering and design recommendations.
  • Lead design activities involving water and wastewater distribution systems.
  • Design and oversee surface-water management and drainage systems.
  • Support roadway and related land development infrastructure design.
  • Prepare and review construction and final site plans for submission to local governmental agencies.
  • Utilize AutoCAD/Civil 3D for land development plan production and technical review.
  • Apply ICPR (Interconnected Pond Modeling) to applicable stormwater and drainage projects.

  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, client expectations, and technical resources.
  • Support continued business development and expansion throughout the Tampa Bay market.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineering and project staff.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Current State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant land development engineering experience.
  • Established book of business and/or demonstrated ability to bring existing clients and business relationships to the firm.
  • Proven technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
