Full-Time position: Dual Role - Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP/QIDP) and DSP -20hrs/20hrs

Encompass Family Support Services is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team in a combined role as a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP/QIDP) with 20 hours of direct care weekly.

Overview:

Encompass Family Support Services provides quality Services to individuals and families through In-home, Residential and Independent Habilitation Services. This full-time position merges the responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional with those of a QDDP, ensuring comprehensive support and high-quality service delivery to our clients.

Responsibilities:

DSP Duties:

Supporting children/adults in their home or community – engaging in community events

Assisting with daily living skills and personal cares: bathing, brushing teeth, household chores

Playing with children/engaging with young adults – meeting them where they are at and mentoring.

Assisting with coping and communication skills

Completing all documentation and training requirements

QDDP/ QIDP Duties:

Manage risk and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, ensuring clean and successful agency audits and accreditations.

Provide hands-on coaching and nurture a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes trust, engagement, retention, and growth.

Increase community awareness of the organization through effective messaging, outreach, advocacy, and relationship-building.

Enhance philanthropic support to accelerate strategic growth and provide needed support where gaps exist in the community.

Co-create and execute a clear and actionable strategy to achieve alignment, make measurable progress against strategic goals, and ensure continued mission impact.

Oversee programs and create optimal structures, systems, and processes to consistently deliver excellent client outcomes and achieve operational goals.

Supervise Direct Support Professionals’ (DSPs) performance.

Complete and update DSP schedules, work direct support hours as necessary, and assure required staff coverage.

Complete and update General Events Reports, including environmental assessments and required follow-ups.

Participate in internal investigations as requested.

Obtain and retain certifications: CPR/AED, First Aid, and Therapeutic Intervention.

Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

Manage day-to-day needs of individuals on the assigned caseload to ensure quality in service delivery.

Serve as the primary contact person for families/guardians regarding concerns and daily needs of individuals.

Organize regular household huddles to keep all staff up to date on changes and information.

Provide in-home expertise and ongoing modeling for DSPs regarding methods, strategies, and techniques relative to OSP implementation.

Assist individuals in obtaining and maintaining eligibility for socioeconomic benefits.

Represent Encompass at monthly meetings as assigned.

Write OPS and collaborate with families to create accurate plans and meaningful goals/outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a qualifying professional field as recognized by ND Developmental Disabilities requirements
  • Able to work in multiple locations- travel required and remotely on occasion
  • A passion for advocating for individuals supported and families.
  • QDDP/QIDP module certification preferred; or obtained with in six months of hire
  • Minimum of 5 years of specific experience with agency services and programs.
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience working with individuals with ID/DD.
  • Knowledge/expertise in Developmental Disabilities service systems and socioeconomic systems.
  • Previous leadership, scheduling and supervisory experience preferred
