Job description

Client Development Specialist
Contact Discovery Services – Denver, CO
Location: Remote
Start Date: Negotiable
Job Description: Contact Discovery Services is seeking a Client Development Specialist to provide high-level support to our sales and client development team. This role is focused on helping high-performing sales professionals operate efficiently by supporting client onboarding, sales documentation, CRM and workflow accuracy, proposal coordination, and client-facing follow-up. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across internal teams and external client communications. This is not an executive assistant position and does not include calendar management or general scheduling responsibilities. Over time, the right person will have the opportunity to build deeper sales knowledge, develop client-facing confidence, and potentially grow into a more direct sales or client-development role as interest, performance, and business needs align.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
  • Support the sales team through client onboarding, sales documentation, CRM coordination, and client-facing follow-up.
  • Prepare, route, send, and upload Statements of Work and related sales documents once approved, including coordination with sales representatives to confirm required details.
  • Create and maintain new client matters or cases in QuickBase and related systems, ensuring accurate entry of rates, billing details, case descriptions, and executed documentation.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce, Apollo, QuickBase, and related sales operations records, including lead research, lead ownership updates, opportunity updates, and follow-up task support.
  • Provide client and internal communication support by helping respond to sales-related inquiries, coordinating next steps with project management, accounts receivable, leadership, and other internal teams, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Support sales proposals, RFP responses, client presentations, supporting materials, and related documentation, including formatting, organizing assignments, tracking progress, compiling supporting materials, and maintaining knowledge libraries.
  • Assist with client onboarding communications by supplying approved onboarding materials, including W-9, payment instructions, security documentation, certifications, data transfer agreements, and other standard collateral as needed.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounts receivable on limited sales-adjacent items, including confirming billing contacts, invoice routing requirements, client-specific billing instructions, and approved credit or billing adjustments when needed.
  • Support updates to sales templates, pricing tables, service descriptions, addenda, process guidelines, and internal documentation as offerings and workflows evolve.
  • Assist with sales and marketing initiatives such as CLE coordination, conference support materials, client collateral, and event-related sales follow-up; this role is not responsible for managing calendars, general scheduling, or executive assistant duties.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, professionalism, and sales acumen with the goal of building toward future client development or direct sales contribution as performance, interest, and business needs align.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in sales support, sales operations, client service, legal services, eDiscovery, professional services, or a related support role.
  • Experience supporting high-performing sales, client development, account management, or business development professionals preferred.
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery, legal services, litigation support, technology-enabled services, or complex professional services environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with CRM, workflow, document routing, or matter-management systems such as Salesforce, Apollo, QuickBase, RightSignature, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, sales team members, leadership, and internal operational teams.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while staying highly responsive, organized, and aligned with team priorities.
  • Interest in learning the sales process, developing client-facing confidence, and potentially progressing into a direct sales or client-development role over time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to provide polished, proactive support to high-performing sales professionals without requiring constant direction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with clients, prospects, sales representatives, leadership, project management, finance, and other internal teams.
  • Superior attention to detail, especially when handling SOWs, client onboarding details, CRM updates, pricing information, and client-specific requirements.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple sales-support workflows with similar deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and follow-through when working with confidential client and business information.
  • Comfort operating in a remote role that requires responsiveness, accountability, self-management, and clear communication across distributed teams.
  • Curiosity, business judgment, and a desire to understand client needs, sales strategy, and the commercial side of the business.
  • Collaborative, service-oriented mindset with the ability to build trust internally and externally.
