Boston Bioprocess Inc. is a bioprocess optimization company that offers AI for bioprocess improvement, MES for workflow management, and integrated CDMO services. Our mission is to help precision fermentation businesses develop, optimize, and scale their production processes.
We are building a modern, high-performance commercial team - focused, accountable, and execution-driven. We are seeking a Business Development Associate to lead commercial efforts for our MES (Manufacturing Execution System) platform, while supporting broader sales across our AI and CDMO services. This role is ideal for someone who understands bioprocessing and is excited about how software and AI are transforming the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand Building
• Drive inbound marketing initiatives to generate qualified leads
• Create and manage LinkedIn content, including posts and campaigns
• Develop short-form video content to communicate BostonBio's value proposition
• Manage newsletter creation and outbound sales campaigns
• Strengthen BostonBio's brand presence in the biotech and fermentation space
Sales & Business Development
• Lead MES software sales efforts, including outreach, demos, and deal execution
• Support AI and CDMO sales opportunities through cross-functional collaboration
• Manage client communications, follow-ups, and relationship development
• Maintain detailed records of all client interactions and deal progress
Operational Excellence
• Take structured, detailed notes across all client interactions
• Maintain a high level of organization in pipeline tracking and communications
• Ensure all external communications are clear, professional, and buttoned-up
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, or related field
• Strong interest in software, AI, and digital tools in bioprocessing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable engaging with clients and handling rejection professionally
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred
• Exposure to bioprocess lab or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with fermentation workflows or CDMO operations
• Experience with content creation (LinkedIn, video, newsletters)
• Prior internship or experience in sales, marketing, or client-facing roles
