Overnight Emergency Veterinary Receptionist | Marietta, Georgia
Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency is growing, and we're adding an experienced Overnight Emergency Veterinary Receptionist to our Marietta team.
When a pet needs emergency care in the middle of the night, families need someone who can listen, communicate clearly, stay calm, and help them understand what happens next.

If you're an experienced Veterinary Receptionist, Client Service Representative, Medical Receptionist, Patient Coordinator, or Healthcare Customer Service professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to join an established Emergency and Specialty Veterinary Hospital.
Veterinary experience is valued, but strong client communication and healthcare operations experience can translate exceptionally well to this role.

Overnight Schedule

8:00 PM - 6:00 AM

You'll help maintain client communication, patient flow, and hospital operations throughout the overnight hours while supporting continuity of care for emergency patients.
You'll help create a seamless experience for clients and patients from arrival through discharge, transfer, or continued hospitalization.
  •  Welcome and support clients arriving for Emergency and Specialty care
  •  Coordinate patient arrival, check-in, discharge, transfers, and follow-up communication
  •  Communicate clearly and compassionately during stressful and emotional situations
  •  Manage phones, scheduling, payments, records, and client requests
  •  Coordinate closely with Emergency Veterinarians, technicians, Criticalists, and specialty teams
  •  Help maintain efficient patient flow during overnight hours
  •  Maintain accurate client and patient information
  •  Support continuity of communication between overnight and daytime teams
  •  Maintain a clean, organized, and professional client-facing environment
We're looking for professionals who are:
  •  Experienced in veterinary reception, emergency veterinary medicine, healthcare, urgent care, medical offices, or hospital operations
  •  Comfortable working independently during overnight hours
  •  Confident communicating with clients in person and by phone
  •  Comfortable handling emotional, urgent, and difficult conversations
  •  Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy environment
  •  Comfortable navigating scheduling, payments, records, and administrative systems
  •  Calm under pressure and able to make sound decisions
  •  Strong team communicators who know when to ask questions and take ownership
  •  Compassionate, professional, and genuinely invested in helping people and their pets

Veterinary experience is preferred, but candidates with strong human healthcare, emergency department, urgent care, medical reception, or other high-volume client service backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
