Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Client Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of client billing operations, including invoicing, collections, client account management, and billing issue resolution. This role ensures accurate, timely billing processes while maintaining strong client relationships and optimizing revenue cycle performance. The Client Billing Manager also maintains a strong relationship with the Commercial team to ensure correct onboarding of new client bill accounts and resolution of issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with contracts, payer guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Client Billing Representatives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee daily client billing functions, including timely invoice generation and invoice correction resolution.
  • Monitor AR aging reports and implement action plans for delinquent accounts.
  • Drive collections strategy for client accounts to reduce aging and improve cash flow.
  • Partner with Commercial team on new client bill account onboarding and issue resolution
  • Serve as escalation point for complex client billing inquiries and disputes.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
  • Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.

  • Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.
