Job description

SUMMARY:

Our client, a growing and highly collaborative CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a Client Advisory Services (CAS) Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys client interaction, advisory work, process improvement, and leading teams in a fast-paced public accounting environment. The CAS Manager will oversee multiple client engagements, manage recurring accounting workflows, deliver financial insights to clients, and partner closely with internal tax and accounting teams. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with business owners while helping clients improve their accounting operations and financial decision-making.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting engagements for multiple clients

- Lead recurring client meetings and serve as a trusted advisor to business clients

- Oversee client onboarding, assess client needs, and help implement accounting solutions and processes

- Review financial statements and provide analysis and insights to clients

- Collaborate with internal tax and assurance teams to support client needs and strategic initiatives

- Manage project timelines, workflow priorities, and client deliverables

- Monitor WIP, billing, and project profitability while identifying operational efficiencies

- Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff and senior team members

- Assist clients with accounting system implementations and process improvements

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and data security procedures

QUALIFICATION:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm or client accounting services environment

- Prior experience managing multiple client relationships and accounting engagements

- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation/review

- Experience supervising or mentoring staff

- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred

- Experience working with outsourced accounting or client advisory services engagements

- Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax filings

- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Xero, Dynamics GP, SAP, or Acumatica

Candidates coming from CPA firms, outsourced accounting groups, client accounting services teams, or advisory-focused accounting environments are highly encouraged to apply.
