ABOUT THE ROLE
The Major Account Manager is responsible for building and managing relationships with assigned strategic clients to drive long-term growth, retention, and client satisfaction. This role partners closely with identified key clients and prospects to understand their business needs, identify opportunities to expand services, and deliver solutions that create value while achieving established sales and account growth objectives.
The Major Account Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional service delivery, resolve client challenges, and support successful account outcomes. This position also develops account strategies, monitors client performance and market trends, and ensures compliance with HIPAA, applicable regulations, and company policies related to data privacy and document security.
  • Location: Hybrid-Remote / Los Angeles, CA Territory
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Compensation: $90,000 - $95,000 Annually plus incentive (total compensation estimated to be $150,000+ Annually for the first year)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, manage, and grow relationships with assigned major accounts to drive long-term client retention and satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, ensuring responsive communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through cross-selling and upselling Gemini Legal products and services.
  • Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, and account growth goals within an assigned territory.
  • Execute territory and account strategies that align with organizational sales objectives and business growth initiatives.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and business reviews to strengthen partnerships and identify evolving client needs.
  • Negotiate service solutions and resolve client concerns through effective problem-solving and relationship management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive client experience.
  • Maintain accurate client records, sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline information within CRM and other business systems.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and inform sales strategies.
  • Represent Gemini Legal at industry events, networking functions, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen brand awareness and generate business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, document security requirements, and all company policies when managing client relationships and confidential information.
  • Analyze account performance and recommend strategies to improve client engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Participate in sales training, professional development, and ongoing product education to maintain industry and product knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance sales effectiveness, client service, and operational efficiency.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education and/or experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business administration preferred
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in a related sales or marketing position required
    • Previous legal industry experience or knowledge preferred
    • Proven history of meeting or exceeding company sales goals through teams and as an individual
  • Skills:
    • Strong self-management aptitude with the ability to perform independent work and team collaboration
    • Advanced time management and organizational skills
    • Lean business principles, flowchart processes and value stream mapping and understanding a plus
    • Ability to appropriately utilize resources within the department and cross-functionally
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Presentation and public speaking
    • Ability to handle a high volume of work and function in a fast-paced environment, on deadline.
    • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Technology:
    • Proficient using a computer, business phone, office software, video conferencing, and other computer programs including Google Workplace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, etc.)
    • Advanced computer skills, including CRM tools, data analytics and Google Apps management, including the use of spreadsheets for sales data analysis
  • Other:
    • Valid California driver's license
    • Clean driving record and current auto insurance

ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:
  • Lifting, bending, standing, climbing or walking while carrying out assigned duties
  • Sitting for at least one hour at a time (total: 4-6 hours/day)
  • Keyboarding for extended periods of time (total: 2-4 hours/day)
  • Using a phone with or without a headset for extended periods (total: 4-6 hours/day)
  • Driving for extended periods of time, up to 4-6 hours in a day and up to 200-300 miles per day
