POSITION: Clerical/Secretary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Skills in work processing applications
  • Ability to work well with administrative team as well as staff and parents
  • Knowledge of Administrative requirements and standard clerical procedures
  • Stenography/Speedwriting
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Supervisor may find appropriate

REPORTS TO: Principal/Supervisor
SUPERVISES: None
JOB GOAL: Under the direction of the site administrator(s), prepare responsible and comprehensive clerical and secretarial materials in support of all district educational goals
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, process and maintain confidential data related to staff and/or students
  • Demonstrated experience in working with various software applications (e.g. MicroSoft Office, X2, MUNIS)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicating effectively with others and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare official correspondence, maintain filing system for confidential staffing records and files (e.g. personnel, medical)
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with others within an educational office environment
  • Ability to perform occasional note taking during interview sessions and investigations.

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the Fall River Clerical Employees Association contract. Continued employment is contingent on job performance, program needs, and availability of funds.
