Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the School Mental Health Program Manager, the School Clerical Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for clerical operations across assigned school-based health sites. This position supervises clerical staff, coordinates daily workflows, supports operational needs, and ensures effective administrative support for HCC’s school-based programs.

The School Clerical Supervisor works collaboratively with HCC providers, school-based health staff, school personnel, students, families, and community partners to support the coordination and delivery of quality healthcare services within the school setting.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and support to clerical staff assigned to School Wellness Program sites, grant-funded school sites, and behavioral health-only sites.
  2. Oversee daily clerical operations, including staffing coverage, scheduling, workflow processes, and operational needs.
  3. Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, complete evaluations, and address performance concerns as needed.
  4. Assist with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new clerical team members.
  5. Provide clerical coverage at school locations when urgent operational needs arise.
  6. Develop and improve workflows, procedures, and processes to support efficient school-based health operations.
  7. Coordinate with school staff and HCC departments regarding operational needs, including supplies, badges, key cards, and facility requests.
  8. Support medical record organization, retention, retrieval, review, and release processes while maintaining confidentiality.
  9. Review payroll reports and assist with timekeeping accuracy.
  10. Promote excellent customer service and support HCC’s mission, values, and commitment to patient-centered care.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and HCC policies.
Job Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. College degree preferred and/or a minimum of three years of experience.
  3. Previous supervisory experience.
  4. Experience working in healthcare, education, or a customer service environment preferred.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new technology systems.
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
