Job description

THE POSITION The Clerical Assistant 2 position with the Department Labor and Industry is a key part of keeping the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board running efficiently. The role includes technical tasks, reception support, and document preparation. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties: Document Preparation: Type decisions, briefs, orders, and related materials using various computer programs Office Formatting: Adjust formatting elements such as margins, spacing, and templates to meet established standards Electronic Filing: Maintain organized electronic files using consistent naming conventions Reception Backup: Assist with incoming mail, distribute email items, and prepare materials for staff Case Processing: Prepare case files for archiving, verify scanned materials, and follow retention rules General Support: Perform tasks such as filing, data entry, telephone answering, and document copying Interested in learning more. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
