Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Huntsville, AL (On-Site)
Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance Required Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a mission-critical federal program in Huntsville, AL. This individual will play a key role in analyzing and managing large data sets to produce actionable insights that directly support operational and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working across multiple data sources to deliver accurate reporting and meaningful recommendations. This role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and develop data-driven solutions that align with mission objectives. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed analysis on data collected from multiple sources to develop reports, summaries, and actionable insights
Prepare and deliver accurate, well-structured documentation and reporting artifacts to support internal and external stakeholders
Manage the collection, aggregation, cataloging, storage, and retrieval of structured and unstructured data
Develop and maintain data dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI
Support ad hoc data analysis projects, identifying trends and providing recommendations that improve processes and decision-making
Gather and document requirements from stakeholders to support development of data solutions and reporting capabilities
Write and optimize queries using SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data sets
Utilize Python to support data processing, automation, and analytics workflows
Maintain version control and collaborate on projects using GitLab
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across databases, reports, and documentation
Respond to client data inquiries by collecting, analyzing, and presenting relevant information in a clear format
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand evolving requirements and deliver high-quality analytical solutions Required Qualifications Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance
Strong experience in data analysis, reporting, and data management
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
Experience using Power BI or similar tools for data visualization and dashboard development
Experience working with GitLab or similar version control systems
Strong background in data documentation, reporting standards, and data governance practices
Experience gathering and translating business and technical requirements into analytical solutions
Ability to work independently while also collaborating in a team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal or government programs
Familiarity with large-scale data environments and distributed data systems
Experience with data pipeline development, ETL processes, or automation workflows
