Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN Surgical Technician to join our upscale plastic surgery center! Shifts will primarily be on Thursdays.

A bit about the position:

Handles instruments, supplies, assisting in circulating and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Monitors conditions in the operating room and constantly assesses the needs of the patient and surgical team.

What you can expect in the role:

  • Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment needed for the surgical procedure.
  • Set up the sterile back table and Mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.
  • Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedure.
  • Assists with draping the patient and establishing the sterile field.
  • Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
  • Assists other members of the team with terminal cleaning of room.
  • Assists in prepping the OR for the next patient.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Plastics in a private office setting preferred.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
  • First assist experience preferred.
  • Confident and skilled.
  • Knowledge in sterilization and processing.
  • At least 2 years of Surgical Tech experience preferred.
