Cleaning Crew Member
Job Description
The Cleaning Crew Member maintains the cleanliness of our many locations. This is a critical function in ensuring NHIA standards are met for our individuals and staff.
Duties will be deep cleaning and disinfecting our administrative offices, residential homes, and day program buildings; including, damp dusting, keeping floors clean and free of debris, vacuuming, removing the trash to designated areas, sanitizing, disinfecting, and other required duties as needed.
The ideal candidate must have the physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (lifting, standing, bending, etc.), be reliable and trustworthy, pay attention to detail, and take pride in their work.
The job is Full-Time. Flexible Schedule Available. You must have reliable transportation, you will be travelling between locations in Monmouth, Ocean, amp; Bergen Counties.
Responsibilities
Deep clean and sanitize all assigned locations.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and supplies.
Reports equipment malfunctions, injuries, and accidents to the supervisor.
Collect trash and recyclables from trash rooms. Transport and disposes trash into dumpsters.
Performs janitorial work to ensure the cleanliness of all areas, such as removing litter from public areas and emptying trash.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Previous cleaning experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to consent to a background check and drug screening.
Able to follow spoken and written instructions.
Able to work without direct supervision.
Able to sit, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed.
Ascending/descending stairs and ladders regularly required.
Reliable, highly organized, attentive to detail, courteous, friendly, hardworking, and professional.
Able to multi-task work, perform well under pressure, and perform repetitive tasks.
Required to move heavy equipment weighing up to 20 lbs. frequently.
Valid Driver's License.
Must have reliable transportation.
Working hours may vary due to programming needs and may be before 9am or after 3pm on weekdays or weekends. The Cleaning Crew Member needs to remain flexible to the needs of the agency.
