Job description

Help us win government business - and keep customers moving.
If you're detail-driven, deadline-focused, and love turning complex requirements into clean, accurate submissions, you'll thrive here. We're hiring a Inside Sales/Government Contracts Representative to identify contract opportunities, prepare bid packages, and submit compliant proposals-while also supporting customer service and house accounts.
This is a great fit for someone who likes structured work, accuracy, and accountability, and who enjoys being the person who keeps everything organized and on track.
Custom Fabricating & Supplies (CFS) supports manufacturers with precision die cutting, industrial masking, and custom rubber molding, including silicone caps & plugs, high-performance tapes, custom die cuts, and flexible components such as gaskets, seals, and spacers. We were established in 2000 and operate from our Franklin, WI headquarters, with additional locations across the U.S. CFS is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company and a 3M Preferred Converter, supporting customers who expect quality, consistency, and reliable turnaround.
What You'll Own
Government Contracts & Bidding
  • Proactively search for and identify government contract opportunities aligned with CFS products and capabilities.
  • Review solicitations and determine bid requirements, eligibility, and submission instructions.
  • Compile, organize, and prepare bid documentation and supporting materials (pricing inputs, technical details, compliance items).
  • Ensure bid packages are accurate, complete, and submitted on time in compliance with all stated requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of bids, submissions, and supporting documentation for tracking and follow-up.
  • Coordinate internally with Sales/Operations/Estimating/Engineering to gather what's needed to submit strong, compliant bids.

Customer Support
  • Serve as a primary contact for customer questions, quotes, and order processing.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in ERP/CRM systems.
  • Coordinate internally to support on-time delivery and clear customer communication.
  • Prospect lightly via research/email/calls to support growth.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong written/verbal communication and high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with deadlines, checklists, and documentation.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping accuracy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • 3+ years customer service experience; B2B/manufacturing is a plus.
  • Government bid/contract experience is a plus (but not required for the right fit).

Why This Role Is Different
  • You'll have direct impact: your submissions help win business.
  • You'll work with real manufacturing products and applications-not scripted call-center work.
  • You'll build a valuable skill set around compliance, documentation, and contract bidding.
