Job description

Job Title: Part-time Day Manager

Position Purpose: To oversee cleaning staff within multiple facilities in a given region. A day manager is the authority figure for the day staff. This position ensures all day activity that is required gets completed according to company guidelines that have been set forth. This position must have leadership qualities to build an effective team.

Major Job Functions:

  • Managing supervisors, leads, and cleaners in all aspects of the company requirements and policies.
  • Nurturing supervisors and leads to take on expanded roles when needed.
  • Management of all quality control systems
  • Completing regular scheduled inspections
  • Conducting job orientation for start-up accounts
  • Playing a major role in start-up accounts
  • Training of new staff members
  • Responsible for communicating problems, issues, or concerns to the proper channel.
  • Responsible for maintaining a budget in each account.
  • HR Responsibilities - Ensuring all procedures and policies are followed.

Other Job Duties:

  • Responsible for nurturing a positive attitude amongst the staff.
  • Responsible for working side by side at times with the staff to reinforce expectations and to build a team atmosphere.
  • Assist the Operations Director with ordering supplies.
  • Responsible for assisting/developing job cards.
  • Responsible for helping to strategize the best way to clean a new account or a specific area.
  • Managing the flow of activity
  • Report any matter that goes against company policy or would harm the company.

Requirements:

  • One to three years of experience as janitorial services lead, or supervisor preferred.
  • Floor care knowledge is a plus!
  • Strong management and customer service skillsAbility to nurture and grow a team.
  • High energy individual that is detailed and disciplined
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic and customer service
  • Ability to lift/move garbage bags and recycling boxes and push/roll recycling bins.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Dependable, Positive and Team Orientated
  • Must have own reliable transportation and valid driver's license and be able to travel to multiple facilities during the same shift.
