Job description

General Cleaner

Part-Time General Cleaner – $17.00/Hour

Location: NGL- Madison Wisconsin Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–9:00 PMPay: $17.00 per hour

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time General Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of an insurance company facility.

Responsibilities

The General Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining assigned areas and completing all cleaning duties according to company and customer standards. Duties include:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and floors
  • Sweeping, mopping, and dusting hard-surface floors
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas using an upright vacuum or backpack vacuum
  • Spot-cleaning carpets as needed
  • Emptying trash and recycling and taking them to the designated disposal area
  • Dusting desktops, cabinet tops, partitions, and other surfaces
  • Wiping and cleaning glass areas
  • Cleaning and maintaining stairwells
  • Polishing metal fixtures and fittings
  • Restocking restroom supplies and ensuring restrooms are properly maintained
  • Operating a push floor scrubber, which is easy to use
  • Completing additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager

The cleaner will receive full training on the assigned route. After completing training, the employee will work independently while following all assigned responsibilities and cleaning procedures.

The employee must be flexible and willing to perform additional duties or work in different assigned areas based on customer or management needs.

Additional Information
  • Driver’s license is not required.
  • Free parking is available in the building garage.
  • Company uniform is required every day.
  • No lunch break is included with this 4-hour shift.
  • Wage increases may be available after successfully completing the 60-day probationary period.
  • The employee will report directly to the onsite Supervisor regarding supplies, cleaning needs, and other job-related matters.
  • Assigned duties or areas may be modified at any time based on customer or management requirements.
