Job description

Job Title: Clean Room AssemblerJob Description

This role focuses on assembling highly specialized medical drug delivery devices in a Class 7 or 8 clean room environment. You will work with small components, follow detailed procedures, and support patients undergoing treatment for bladder cancer by ensuring every device meets strict quality and safety standards. The position combines precision assembly, inspection under a microscope, and packaging activities within a controlled, well-organized production setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble medical drug delivery devices in a Class 7 or 8 clean room, following detailed work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Handle small tubes by slightly inflating them with nitrogen and carefully loading the drug tablets into the tubes one by one using a small rod.
  • Insert spacers into the tubes and continue loading additional tablets in the correct sequence and position as specified.
  • Wrap a small nitinol wire around the tablet-filled tube and shape it into a precise configuration resembling a pretzel, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Place assembled devices into a curing area for a defined period and ensure proper handling and tracking during the curing process.
  • Inspect cured devices under a microscope to confirm they meet all quality and dimensional specifications, documenting results accurately.
  • Assist with packaging the product while still in the clean room, maintaining cleanliness and traceability throughout the process.
  • Support final packaging activities outside of the clean room, ensuring correct labeling, packing, and preparation for shipment.
  • Use hand tools and other small assembly tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with clean room and GMP requirements, including proper cleaning of tools and equipment when needed.
  • Follow all clean room procedures, gowning protocols, and documentation requirements for each step of the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborate with team members and support varying job duties as needed, including demo builds, new product introduction (NPI) builds, and assisting other functions across the facility.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues about production status, issues, or quality concerns and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Skills
  • 1–2 years of medical device manufacturing experience in a clean room environment.
  • Proven experience working with small parts and performing detailed, hands-on assembly tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to follow instructions and document work accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow GMP, clean room procedures, and detailed manufacturing documentation.
  • High level of attention to detail and precision, especially when working under a microscope.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand-new, well-lit, temperature-controlled facility designed for comfort and efficiency, featuring a large, updated break room and individual lockers for personal storage. The site includes multiple Class 7 and 8 clean rooms, and you will follow full gowning protocols, including scrubs, a full bunny suit, booties, hair net, and glasses. Upon arrival, you will enter an initial stage area to collect packaged scrubs and clean room gear, change in a private changing room, and then proceed to a separate gowning area. You will store street clothes in personal bins and use dedicated footwear within the clean room. The dress code for these roles requires scrubs and full clean room attire while on shift. You are not required to arrive early to gown up; you may clock in at your scheduled start time and complete gowning procedures within your shift. The environment is structured, clean, and supportive, with clear procedures and ample space to perform your work safely and efficiently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
