Job description

Estes Handyman LLC is looking for a dependable and hardworking Building Cleaning Float to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the properties we service. This position requires the employee to travel between different properties throughout the week and throughout the day based on cleaning needs, staffing coverage, call-outs, vacations, and other property needs.
Job Responsibilities
  • Travel between multiple properties throughout the workday and workweek as assigned.
  • Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, laundry rooms, restrooms, and other shared spaces.
  • Walk multiple flights of stairs while wiping down handrails, vacuuming stairwells, and completing other cleaning duties.
  • Operate a handheld/backpack blower to blow off walkways, stairwells, parking areas, entrances, and other common areas. 
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
  • Clean glass, doors, windows, elevator walls, and high-touch areas.
  • Remove trash and replace liners.
  • Remove cobwebs and keep entrances and common areas presentable.
  • Check assigned areas throughout the shift and address cleaning needs as they arise.
  • Assist with pool areas, parking garages, and other common areas when required.
  • Provide coverage when regular cleaning staff members are off, call out, or need additional assistance.
  • Communicate any maintenance concerns, damage, safety hazards, or unusual issues to management.
  • Complete additional cleaning duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be physically able to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs while cleaning.
  • Must be able to carry and operate cleaning equipment, including a vacuum and blower, while moving between floors.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Requirements
  • Must be dependable and available when scheduled.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between multiple properties during the same shift.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision.
  • Must be comfortable working in high-rise buildings.
  • Must maintain a professional and respectful attitude around residents, guests, property managers, and other employees.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
