WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The 'EHS Manager, Plant Operations' is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs within the automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and drives continuous improvement in EHS performance.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Create and manage comprehensive EHS programs that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into EHS incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in EHS practices, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and reports related to EHS activities, incidents, and compliance.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of related experience
  • Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to analyze data and implement effective solutions, proficiency in EHS software and tools.

Working Conditions:
  • Environment: A mix of office work and regular engagement with the manufacturing floor operations to drive critical issue home and support progress.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to conduct site inspections and investigations, which may involve physical activity.
