SUMMARY OF DUTIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
1.Supervises production of products to meet work order delivery requirements by:
a.Assigning work orders to work teams to assemble products according to product specifications; and
b.Overseeing or preparing necessary paperwork and reports necessary for the completion of work orders; and
c.Overseeing the general maintenance of the clean room to ensure a healthy work environment for employees and to maintain neatness and order; and
d.Coordinating with Quality Assurance Technicians and/or Engineers to ensure that quality standards are maintained in production.
2.Supervises production workers and leads by:
a.Reviewing work performed and providing feedback regarding performance; and
b.Coordinating work assignments, transfers, promotions and discharges in compliance with company policies; and
c.Evaluating individual employees and recommending pay increases as they occur; and
d.Hiring new employees for the production line, as needed.
3.Obtains feedback from employees and Quality Assurance regarding the production of various products to ensure that the product is being produced at acceptable levels of quality.
4.Works with other members of the production team to establish and achieve production and profitability goals.
5.Trains leads and production workers in production methods, safety, and the maintenance of cleanliness standards in the production process.
6.Reviews production operations and identifies opportunities to improve work processes and methods.
7.Evaluates production performance in achieving output and profitability targets.
8.Assures that the production operation is consistent with current procedures and other standards and that all line clearances and related paperwork are properly completed on a timely basis.
9.May perform responsibilities in the capacity of second shift supervisor.
10.Performs other related production supervision tasks, as required.

Education and/or experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
A minimum of three years of supervisory experience, preferably in a related manufacturing environment and demonstrated ability to supervise others in a team atmosphere.
At the Corporate site, if this position is on a Spanish-language line, bilingual (English/Spanish) basic speaking, reading and writing skills must be demonstrated.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods, preferably in a related manufacturing field.
Ability to read and understand complex manufacturing and production information, including production drawings, work orders, and related manufacturing specifications.
Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to identify improvements in manufacturing methods and processes.
Ability to plan and organize production schedules to complete work orders on a timely basis and ensure that each work order is properly filled.
Ability to communicate effectively with others orally.
Ability to train employees and demonstrate production tasks to assist new employees to learn correct production procedures.
