Commercial Roofing Service/Repair Technician

Job Type: Full-time | Location: Youngstown, OH 44512 | Work Location: In person

Roof Rite is looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Service/Repair Technician to join our service team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in solving problems, working safely, and helping customers protect their buildings through quality roof repairs, maintenance, and inspections.

What you’ll do:

• Respond to service calls and repair commercial roof leaks

• Inspect existing roofing systems and identify damage, leaks, drainage issues, and repair needs

• Perform roof maintenance, waterproofing, and detailed repair work

• Remove and replace roofing materials such as gravel, felts, insulation, drain grates, flashings, and related components as needed

• Assist with preventive maintenance, including clogged or frozen drains, snow removal, and standing water removal

• Determine appropriate materials and repair methods for each job

• Operate safely from ladders, scaffolding, rigging, or platforms when required

• Drive a company truck or vehicle with materials to job sites, as assigned

• Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and the Operations Manager

• Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and company procedures

What we’re looking for:

• At least 2 years of commercial flat roofing experience

• Knowledge of proper application and repair methods for commercial roofing systems

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to travel to different work sites; willingness to travel up to 50%

• Must have necessary hand tools

• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

• Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently when needed
