Job Summary:
This is an entry level position designed to aid and assist the rail unit swap operation. Successful candidates will comply with customer and regulatory requirements including but not limited to E-RailSafe certification and EPA standards. Enhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing work that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Removal/installation of Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs).
  • Removal/installation of solar panels, digital fuel flow meters, telematics systems.
  • Keeps equipment working by following operational instructions and adheres to OSHA standards.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with other team members and to learn from experienced technicians.
  • Keeps work area clean and free of clutter.
  • Wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and is compliant with safety procedures.
  • Promotes and adheres to safety culture for self and others.
  • Participates in training and educational opportunities provided by the company; classroom and/or on-the-job training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:
  • Aptitude in a technical and mechanical role and willingness to learn.
  • May work in extreme heat, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Coordinate tools, resources and equipment to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Active listening skills, oral/written comprehension and commitment to perform quality service.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
