***Special Education Teachers Eligible for SPED Stipend***


Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. At Charter One we pride ourselves on our thorough knowledge of charter school operations, academics, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, and more. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.


Bonnie Cone Classical Academy is now accepting applications for Elementary Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 academic year. As a school grounded in classical education, we seek candidates who are enthusiastic about classical teaching methods, particularly the trivium approach (grammar, logic, rhetoric). Our classical model emphasizes a rich knowledge base, critical thinking, and the ability to express and apply ideas effectively. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Modify and adapt instructional delivery and materials in alignment with the adopted curriculum and IEPs to ensure access for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and implement approved lesson plans aligned to the adopted curriculum and collaborate with general education teachers to support lesson planning for inclusion students.
  • Consistently communicate and correspond with parents, administrators, school psychologists and other professionals to set-up and plan IEP and Evaluation meetings.
  • Act as IEP facilitator and collaborator between special ed. and regular education teachers.
  • Gather relevant information from team members and write, revise, or update IEP and existing data reports.
  • Complete report cards and progress reports on each student’s progress.
  • Assist other professional staff in identifying and implementing interventions for students identified in the Student Study Team process.
  • Maintain appropriate student data in order to keep school-wide grading system up to date as well as data required to monitor IEP goal progress.
  • Attend professional meetings, educational conferences and training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Pass applicable background check
  • Submit fingerprints through NCSBI
  • North Carolina Teaching Certificate with an EC endorsement


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Formal training, coursework, or experience in classical education
