Job description

Clarke University is seeking applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach Organic Chemistry I and II with labs (7 contact hours/week) for upper-level science students beginning August 2026. The position requires a master's degree or a doctorate in chemistry or a related science area. Candidates who are ABD will be considered. If hired, the instructor will be expected to teach face-to-face on the Clarke University campus in Dubuque, IA.

Organic Chemistry I and lab are taught in the Fall semester. Organic Chemistry II and lab are taught in the Spring and are the second half of the two-semester sequence. This sequence of courses is offered by the chemistry program and serves as a required course for the biology and chemistry programs.
