Job description

Optometric Technician - Join Our Eye Care Team

Clayton N.C.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our patient-focused eye care team. In this role, you'll work closely with optometrists and staff to deliver an exceptional experience from pre-testing through to patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for their eye exams
  • Perform pre-testing procedures (autorefraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, etc.)
  • Record patient medical history and maintain accurate electronic health records
  • Assist optometrists during examinations as needed
  • Educate patients on contact lens care and handling
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms and equipment
  • Support administrative or optical functions as required

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an optometric or healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
