Job description

Summit School Services companies share a strong commitment to provide the highest level of transportation safety, quality transportation, outstanding customer service and positive employee relations. Our corporate headquarters, located in Warrenville, Illinois, houses the administrative and corporate support functions for the organization. Our 250+ local customer service centers (CSCs) are supported by regional operations teams located throughout North America.

Summit School Services LLC is currently seeking an experienced Claims and Insurance Associate to work on a hybrid basis out of our Corporate Headquarters in Warrenville, Illinois.  This position will report to the Director of Liability Claims and will primarily be responsible for general support of the Risk and Insurance Department, with specific focus on working with the company’s field operations and the claims TPA to manage the company’s light duty and return to work programs.

Responsibilities Include:

·       Assisting our Customer Service Centers (CSC’s) and the claims TPA with the Company’s light duty and return to work (RTW) programs to ensure our injured employees receive the best attention and are assisted in their transition back to their roles:

o   Identifying light duty/transitional duty assignments that will allow an employee’s early return to work.

o   Assist in ensuring the medical validity of work restrictions and job accommodations requested by our employee or health care provider.

o   Work closely with our field locations, our Third Party Administrator, the employee and their treating physician to coordinate return to work within the restrictions assigned.

o   Hold ownership for the injured employee’s progression from “light duty” to full duty return to work.  This includes clarifying status and progression with treatment providers and ensuring that field offices are aware of updated restrictions and anticipated full duty return to work.

·       Assisting our Customer Service Centers (CSC’s) and the claims TPA with resolving third party liability claims.

·       Assisting with general insurance inquiries, insurance renewals, and liaising with Summit’s insurance broker and other advisors.

·       Administrative support for the Risk and Insurance Department, inclusive of;

o   Processing mail and invoice payments

o   Customer service support as required

· Other duties as required.
