Overview

Taylor Sudden Service provides exclusive worldwide distribution of genuine Taylor OEM parts and forklift service for equipment designed, manufactured, and marketed by Taylor Machine Works, Inc. Backed by a network of parts and service centers, nationwide dealer support organizations, and factory-trained service technicians, SSI is committed to providing the best parts and service support in the industry. We offer training schools for our service technicians on a regular basis, ensuring the best possible service to Taylor Machine Works' customers. Sudden Service, INC (SSI) is a subsidiary of the Taylor Group of Companies, a third-generation family-owned business based in Louisville, MS since 1927.

Job Summary:

The Warranty Department Claims Associate reports to the Warranty Manager and is primarily responsible for tracking, receipt, and disposition of parts and materials returned through the Returned Material Authorization process. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, exhibit computer competencies including standard Microsoft programs and web-based business management software.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Processing of materials returned through Returned Material Authorization (RMA) process. Includes but is not limited to the following:
    • Tracking warranty returns from dealers and warehouses
    • Retrieval of parts from Taylor Logistics; coordinate with SSI Philadelphia for parts returned to DOC.
    • Verification of returned parts โ€“ ensure that materials match RMA request
    • Sorting and storage of received parts on warranty return shelves at SSI
    • Updates Service Management Software for returned parts:
      • Close of return material authorization
      • Updated part status in Service Management Software
      • Provide detailed notes cataloging storage locations
    • Disposition of returned materials:
      • Process returns to vendors as necessary
      • Scrap parts once requisite time has expired as required.
    • Ensure the warranty returns shelf is kept orderly and up to date.
    • Process vendor claims as assigned:
      • Contact vendor via email or vendor portal as required
      • Process claims per warranty board instructions.
      • Return parts as requested
      • Track and update claims in a timely manner
      • Notify Warranty Manager and update Service Management as claims are dispositioned.
      • Track credit memos
    • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Service Management software, ISeries, Adobe and other software as well as be able to use vendors sites to file claims.
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must possess a clean driving record to operate the company vehicle.
  • Must be able to function in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications such as word, outlook, and excel as well as web-based business management software.
  • Proven multitasking skills to monitor multiple orders from various vendors and align with department demands.
Education:
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
