Why This Internship

JOB SUMMARY:
Textron Aviation Parts Distribution is looking for an intern to use and develop their Customer Relations and organizational skills through support of our Supplier Recovery group. Learn the skills necessary to negotiate disputed claims to an equitable settlement consistent with Textron Aviation policy and customer service objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop an understanding of financial policies that support proper charges to applicable accounts for all claims settled.
  • Assist in management claim load to maintain established turn times that support or exceed supplier's expectations.
  • Participates in and tracks assigned projects within Supplier Recovery.
  • Through various support projects, develop an understanding of master data.
  • Assist Supplier Recovery with Service Center updates and contracts.
  • Learn how to initiate warranty start dates with vendors for new deliveries and extensions.
  • Assist in the establishment of labor flat rates relating to the Bulletins, Inspections Program, and Warranty parts for claim adjudication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may arise.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Business Administration
  • Aviation Management
  • Supply Chain
  • Or other related field

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and action oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Collaborates and easily gets along in team-based environments
  • Strong customer-oriented skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer Proficiency (MS Office, CAD, etc.)

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
