Job description

As the Human Resources Generalist for Utilimaster (An Aebi Schmidt Group brand) based at our facility in Bristol, IN, you will play a critical role in progressing the Human Resources systems and initiatives at our Bristol, IN facility in the areas of recruitment and selection, benefits, compensation, and performance management.

 You will also oversee the plant's conflict resolution activity and make recommendations to respective leaders about paths to resolution. In addition, you will be responsible for administering company compensation and benefits programs and investigating claims of policy or code of ethics violations.

Core Responsibilities:

       Develop and administer company-wide HR policies, procedures, and practices.

       Maintain compliance with applicable HR legal requirements.

       Respond to inquiries regarding HR processes, policies, procedures, and programs.

       Collaborate with HR at other Shyft locations to support projects and initiatives.

       Resolve individual or team issues or conflicts through counsel team members and managers.

       Conduct thorough investigations about policy and Code of Ethics violation claims.

       Facilitate the hiring process by administering company compensation and benefits programs.

       Manage short-term disability and FMLA leave requests and claims.

       Coordinate the distribution and communication of the Associate Handbook, 401(k) Plan, healthcare, and other employee benefits.
