Command Investigations LLC is seeking an Insurance Claims Investigator with a minimum of one year of experience to become part of a dynamic team. Pay: $23-$30 per hour (varies based on state)

Schedule: Business hours are typically Mon-Fri; exact times are dependent on casework objectives.

Location: Casework will be anywhere within 2 hours of the job listing location.


What You Will Do:

In this role, you will conduct claims investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing the parties involved, documenting findings, and preparing comprehensive, detailed reports for client review. Conduct investigations related to insurance claims, including workers’ compensation, general liability, auto, and property cases.

  • Conduct complex field investigations involving multiple claim types.
  • Submit daily updates summarizing your progress and observations.
  • Manage your time effectively to meet client billable-hour expectations.
  • Write detailed, professional statements and investigative summaries.
  • Deliver clear, client-ready reports that meet Command's quality standards.
  • Perform scene investigations, recorded statements, scene canvassing, document retrieval, and courthouse research.
  • Operate safely and remain alert while driving during field assignments.

Requirements:

Special Note: This role requires you to supply your own equipment, including but not limited to, a camera and a digital recorder. Certain equipment specifications or minimum standards may apply.

What You Will Bring:

We’re looking for investigators who are driven, professional, and dedicated to uncovering facts with accuracy and integrity.

  • Demonstrate at least 1 year of field investigations experience, including face-to-face recorded statements and report writing. Prior experience with multi-line investigations preferred.
  • Travel across multiple states as needed to complete case assignments. Residing within a 30-mile radius of the posted location is preferred.
  • Hold a valid (state) Investigator license (or eligibility for licensure in surrounding states). Or have the ability to obtain this license upon being hired.
  • Ability to effectively use computers and digital tools, including navigating websites, entering and retrieving information from web-based systems, and troubleshooting basic technical issues required.
  • Excellent reading skills and the ability to follow detailed directions are required.
  • Independently, organize casework and schedule while also providing excellent customer service and demonstrating strong interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Flexibility and effective time management are required
  • Adapt to variable schedules — including nights and weekends when required. Being flexible to work overtime and a willingness to work the required schedule are preferred.
  • Maintain a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle and required insurance coverage.
  • Complete a Command Investigations, LLC employment application and submit to pre-employment tasks as required for employment.


What You’ll Need:

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess the following:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of Claims, SIU, or adjusting experience. Other related experience should be indicated on the application.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • Excel in report writing and typing (50+ WPM) with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understand investigative processes, insurance law, and claim procedures.
  • English speaking required. Multi-lingual is a plus.
  • A reliable personally owned vehicle.
  • Proper photographic recording, video recording, and audio recording equipment. Measuring tools and safety equipment is also preferred.
  • Thrive under pressure and maintain professionalism in sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, accountability, and sound judgment.
