  • Looking for a Part-time Staff Pharmacist candidate!
  • This position would be a Monday - Friday position, with occasional Saturday shifts with competitive wages.
  • Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 6:00 pm & Saturday, 9:00 am - 1:30 pm.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited school/college of pharmacy.
  • Licensed as a Pharmacist in the State in which you will be working (MN/IA)

Preferred:
  • Detail oriented and very organized
  • Able to handle a high stress environment
  • Two or more years of pharmacy experience in a retail/community setting

Job Description: The Staff Pharmacist will provide pharmacy dispensing, consultation, and clinical services to Sterling Pharmacy patients and have direct communication with Pharmacy Manager and Store Manager.

  • Receive, process, fill, and check prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner

  • Abide by all statutes, rules and regulations related to pharmacy practice, both State and Federal
  • Represent Sterling Pharmacy as a pharmacist to the general public and at professional events
  • Collect appropriate information for billing of Medicaid and Medicare for DME and supplies and reconcile claims to ensure adequate payment
  • Ensure that patients are counseled on all new prescriptions and on any refills where there has been a change in therapy or patient condition
  • Address and resolve patient/employee complaints in the absence of pharmacy manager
  • Be prepared and willing to perform pharmacy technician and customer service associate duties, as necessary.
  • Stay current with the latest information on drug therapy and side effects
  • Complete continuing education requirements of the Board of Pharmacy
  • Maintain CPR certification
  • Complete training/certification for administering immunizations and maintain competency
  • Be aware of prescription drug pricing and reimbursement to achieve optimal gross profit margins
  • Assist in managing drug inventory levels to achieve optimal return on investment
  • Communicate with Pharmacy Manager on a regular basis
  • Be aware of and support promotional activity within the pharmacy and Home Health Care category
  • Respond to emails, voice messages and memos from corporate staff in a timely fashion (typically within one business day) if Pharmacy Manager is gone
  • Participate in new programs and services for pharmacists to help patients achieve good therapeutic outcomes
  • Be aware of continuous quality improvement and quality assurance programs in pharmacies
  • Adapt quickly to company changes related to policy and workflow.
  • Participate and engage with weekly/daily touchpoint meetings then follow through on what was discussed
  • Help the PIC encourage and support employees engaging with customer on all marketing material given by corporate
  • Participate in expectations with the Profit Incentive Program
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Work Demands:
  • The ability to work up to 40 hours per week
