Job Title: Architectural Sheet Metal Estimator

Start Date: Immediately

Salary Range: $85,000-$115,000/Annually DOE


Position Overview:The Architectural Cladding Estimator is responsible for evaluating and estimating costs for exterior building envelope and facade projects, including architectural cladding systems, sheet metal, metal wall panels, aluminum composite material (ACM) panels, and related specialty systems. This role develops detailed estimates covering labor, equipment, materials, fabrication, and complex specialty assemblies to support commercial construction and facade installation projects.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare detailed estimates for architectural cladding, facade systems, insulated metal panels, ACMs, rain screens, and related exterior envelope scopes
  • Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns covering labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, risk, and job cost reporting
  • Review drawings, specifications, structural details, and manufacturer requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide value engineering and pricing strategies aligned with client needs, code requirements, backlog, and available resources
  • Conduct site evaluations, risk analysis, and participate in prebid, postbid, and client technical meetings
  • Maintain current market pricing and negotiate with suppliers, fabricators, and manufacturers
  • Compile proposals, submittals, manufacturer documentation, and support estimating needs across branches
  • Support project execution through PM handoff meetings, job reviews, operational improvements, networking, and required internal meetings


Minimum Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience estimating architectural cladding, facade systems, or building envelope projects (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in exterior envelope assemblies.
  • Experience with ACM, IMP, metal panels, and rain screen assemblies preferred.
  • General construction and sales experience preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Valid driver's license with ability to safely access job sites, rooftops, ladders, lifts, and building exteriors
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and adherence to all safety protocols
  • High proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Bluebeam, and CRM tools (Pipedrive or similar)
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial facade and cladding systems, including marketspecific codes and standards
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and technical specifications
    Strong analytical, problemsolving, organizational, and timemanagement skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; professional company representation

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program
  • Primarily indoor office environment
  • Overtime and weekend work
  • Ability to climb ladders, access elevated areas, and perform exterior assessments.
