Job description

Title: Civil/Structural Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Duration: 12 Months

Skills & Description:

Civil /Structural Engineer, strong experience in structural steel and concrete design of industrial facilities such as gas plants, liquid terminals, LNG facilities, chemical plants, and bulk material handling facilities. Experience in STAAD Pro or similar structural design and analysis software is the Key.

 Essentials Functions:

  • Works collaboratively in a team environment; interacts with individuals at all organizational levels and clients in professional manner
  • Prepares and checks concrete and structural steel designs and analyses per project specifications and applicable codes for pipe and cable tray racks
  • Prepares sketches and coordinates with Designers/Drafters in the development of 3D models and 2D design drawings
  • Prepares and checks technical reports and specifications
  • Performs field activities, such as observing and documenting existing conditions and taking measurements in a variety of environments
  • Functions as Lead Engineer, supervising designers and other engineering staff members, interfacing directly with project personnel and clients, and monitoring budgets and schedules
  • Coordinates tasks with engineers, designers and administrative staff

Qualfications:

· BS or MS in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structures

· 6+ years engineering experience in structural steel and concrete design of industrial facilities such as gas plants, liquid terminals, LNG facilities, chemical plants, and bulk material handling facilities

· Strong English written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time sensitive deadlines

· Detail oriented, committed to quality

· Proficient in the use of STAAD Pro or similar structural design and analysis software

· Knowledge of codes and standards relevant to structural steel and concrete design (AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE-7, IBC, e.g.)

· Proficient in Microsoft WORD and Excel
