Job description

General Information This is routine manual work providing technical assistance to the Veterinarian involved in maintaining and improving the quality of care, health, and safety of the animals that are brought into the animal shelter. JURISDICTIONS YEARLY SALARY *MOBILE COUNTY $43,568 - $54,411 **CITY OF MOBILE $36,716 - $45,853 *Salary amended 1/28/2025 **Salary amended 10/7/2024 Requirements Minimum Qualification Requirements: Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and a minimum of one year experience as a veterinary technician or assistant, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements. Special Requirement: Must possess current licensure as a Veterinary Technician from the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, or five years of experience as a non-licensed Veterinary Technician and the ability to obtain and certification as a Euthanasia Technician in the State of Alabama within one year of employment.
