Position Description: Our coaches support the district mission by:
- Assisting the head coach in developing students on the Cross Country team
- Assisting the head coach of the High School team in developing a 7-12 cohesive Cross Country program
- Other duties as assigned
Terms of Employment: August 24 - October 15, 2026
- Must be available weekdays after school for practices and meets
- Current CPR/First-Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
- Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant's expense
Salary Range: $2,150 - $2,844/season depending on experience
Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
Required Qualifications: - High School diploma
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience competing in Cross Country and/or Track at the Middle School level or beyond
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience coaching a sport at some level
- Experience coaching the Middle School level
- Experience competing and coaching Cross Country and/or Track at the college level or beyond
