What You'll Do
This is not an "assistant" role.
This is your launch pad into project leadership.
You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen while gaining hands-on experience managing every phase of heavy civil construction.
You'll help drive successful projects by:
Own the Details
  • Prepare RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and project documentation.
  • Maintain organized project files, drawings, specifications, and as-built records.
  • Track permits, invoices, material deliveries, equipment usage, labor hours, and project reporting.
Be in the Field
  • Conduct regular site walks with Foremen and Superintendents.
  • Understand field operations firsthand.
  • Verify project progress.
  • Support pre-task planning and daily coordination.
Keep Projects Moving
  • Coordinate between field crews, office staff, vendors, subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, owners, and clients.
  • Support schedule tracking, forecasting, budgeting, and cost reporting.
  • Assist with scope changes, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
Champion Safety & Quality
  • Support daily safety planning and project execution.
  • Participate in JHA/AHA planning and field walkthroughs.
  • Help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Alpha's high standards.
Grow Into Leadership

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 0-3 years of construction or project engineering experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
