Ardurra is looking to hire an experienced Civil Engineer for our Civil Practice in either of our Atlanta, GA offices (Marietta or Buford).
Our civil engineers, urban planners, landscape architects and staff scientists work together daily to plan and create sustainable human environments by offering comprehensive land development services ranging from due diligence and master planning to design and construction administration.
The Civil Engineer will play a vital role in delivering high-quality site design, planning, permitting, and oversight of construction for our clients, which include some of the top land development clients in the country. The projects will utilize a wide range of land development expertise, which will include the design of streets, roadways, sanitary sewer, watermains, storm drainage, stormwater BMPs, etc., throughout the greater Atlanta region.
This position offers the chance to join a high-performing team and receive mentorship from senior staff and leadership.
Primary Function:
The Engineer V acts as staff specialist in the application of advanced theories, concepts, and principles for an assigned area of responsibility. The incumbent must be capable of analyzing all technical aspects of the subject area, defining the scope and selecting problems for investigation, developing novel concepts and approaches, and recommending major changes.
Primary Duties:
  • Full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering assignments involving unique or controversial problems which significantly affect major projects and or planning efforts
  • Plans, organizes, and supervises design engineering activities for a major project, two or more projects of significant size and complexity, or several projects of moderate size and complexity
  • May lead certain aspects of proposal teams and research teams
  • Will provide direction and mentorship for junior engineers, the design team, and the administrative staff

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required
  • 7-10 years' related work experience
  • Proven proficiency utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment, including system capabilities and limitations for diverse engineering assignments
