Position Overview

You support the design and execution of residential, commercial, and public development projects. This role assists with engineering calculations, plan production, and project coordination while gaining exposure to all phases of project delivery.

You will work under the guidance of project managers and senior engineers, contributing to multiple projects while developing your technical skills and understanding of site development design.

Reports to: President or Senior Vice President, with direct supervision from Principal Engineers


Key Responsibilities

Design and Technical Support

  • Assist in preparing grading, drainage, and utility designs
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and support stormwater analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and reports
  • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Use Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and other tools to support design efforts
  • Participate in site visits to observe construction and project progress


Project Coordination and Development

  • Support project managers and engineers across multiple projects
  • Coordinate tasks and communicate effectively with team members
  • Assist with subconsultant coordination and review of deliverables
  • Learn and apply applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities


Skills and Specifications

  • Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and plan sets
