Job description

V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager in our Denver, CO office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world.

You'll change the shape of your community by supporting growth through sustainable urban development, creating impact that lasts. And, as part of our Land Development team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of growth, creativity, and excellence.
  • Build strong client relationships from contract procurement through project coordination and completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Apply sound engineering principles and attention to detail to deliver high-quality site/civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare and review design documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  • Manage projects across a wide range of land development disciplines, including potable water and wastewater systems, surface water management, site grading, and stormwater.
  • Ensure compliance with Colorado local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and entitlement requirements.
  • Shepherd projects from initial entitlement and permitting through design, construction, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and perform quality reviews.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead permitting efforts across multiple government agencies, managing complex strategies and tight schedules.
  • Leverage local experience and relationships with Colorado agencies (e.g., Denver, CDOT, municipalities).
  • Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts to grow V3’s presence in Colorado.
  • Foster relationships with new and existing clients, as well as government agencies.
  • Mentor and train team members, supporting professional development and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Work with internal V3 teams on multi-disciplinary projects, leveraging firm-wide expertise.

We're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (EAC/ABET preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Colorado licensure preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil site design and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards.
  • AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Relevant work experience in Colorado land development preferred.
